Aquarius Mystoria is a powerful Cosmic AoE DPS built around earning stacks and repeated off-turn attacks, yes a Ice Boy DPS. His kit becomes increasingly threatening as accumulates Shattered Frost stacks, eventually triggering Permafrost Vortex automatically. This allows Mystoria to deal substantial damage without always needing to spend his own turns. Yes, it sounds a bit like what Aquarius Krest does, but unlike Krest, Mystoria does have active abilities that need to be activated.
His main damage skill, Aurora Execution, is particularly impressive. It scales with his accumulated stacks, gaining additional damage and Cosmic Defense Penetration, while at maximum stacks it can even execute enemies below 10% HP. Because Mystoria becomes stronger as he repeatedly attacks, using Aurora Execution from the first round is generally advisable rather than relying exclusively on his passive damage.
Permafrost Vortex is arguably the core of his kit, generating the stacks that allow Mystoria to attack outside his turn and reducing enemy Speed. He also provides valuable protection through Vital Frostlight, which gives the allied unit with the highest Cosmic Attack a shield capable of preventing a fatal hit. This makes Mystoria more than just a DPS and helps compensate for his vulnerability.
However, Mystoria is not a character you should leave exposed. His AoE attacks make him particularly susceptible to counters, reflections, and retaliation mechanics. He also benefits from having enough Speed to act before enemy control becomes a problem. At this stage of the meta, characters without strong survival or immunity mechanics may struggle a bit, so even though Mystoria is a very powerful unit, he needs a team to protect him.
Mystoria is a high-value DPS who can become devastating once his stacks are established. If you have the resources, he is worth investing. His appearances in the Galactid Duel and the Jamir in China have established him as a solid DPS in the meta.
