Goddess of War Sasha is an SS Support character in Saint Seiya Awakening whose value comes from versatility rather than raw damage. She combines healing, shields, purification, buffs, control resistance, and resurrection, making her one of the most complete defensive supports currently available. She is this year’s anniversary character for the game; her arrival has caused a slight disruption to the release window, as she was expected last month but has been delayed, so there may be changes to the release schedule.
As for War Goddess Sasha, well, she’s a very powerful support character. She’s somewhat similar to the Sasha EX version, but with some extra healing abilities. Her signature mechanic, Faking Death, allows Sasha to designate one ally and provide increasing Attack and Speed buffs at the beginning of each round. The selected unit can also accumulate Brothers in Arms, converting part of its damage into True Damage. Most importantly, if that ally dies while Sasha remains alive, it can revive at the start of the following round, even bypassing anti-revival effects in testing. This makes her particularly effective when protecting a team’s primary carry.
Sasha’s Athena Formation further strengthens her utility. It heals the entire team at the beginning of each round, converting overhealing into shields, while also enabling her other stacking mechanics. Her purification can remove effects such as Silence, Freeze, and other dispellable debuffs, giving her strong utility against control-heavy compositions. She is also difficult to eliminate thanks to her substantial HP scaling and control resistance.
However, Sasha has an important limitation: Faking Death is usable only once per battle, so choosing the protected ally is extremely important. She is also relatively expensive to build and requires considerable skill-book investment to unlock her full potential. Fingering Death and Brothers in Arms should be prioritized, followed by her third skill.
Goddess of War Sasha is highly recommended for competitive players. She may not dominate battles through damage, but her combination of survivability, purification, buffs, shields, and resurrection gives her exceptional long-term value. If you can afford her investment, Sasha is a support worth adding to your roster. And since we’ve only received two SS/EX units so far this year—both of which are very powerful—we should prioritize building Athena Sasha.
