Divine Cloth Virgo Shaka is one of the best DPS/Control characters in the game, if the conditions are right. The Saint closest to God can execute multiple area attacks, control and debuff opponents while destroying them. When Divine Cloth Virgo Shaka explodes, it does a lot of damage. The problem is that certain things need to happen for it to activate.
Every time we damage the enemy in any way with any unit, Shaka has a chance to assist. With a certain number of assists, Shaka opens his eyes and unleashes his full power. That’s why he works well with units like Sasha, as her reflexes count, she activates many times, and she helps Shaka activate faster or units with end-round attacks. That’s why you need a certain lineup to be able to activate Shaka quickly. Otherwise, the turn could pass and Shaka will only deal his basic damage without destroying everything. On top of that, for all this to happen, we have to invest a lot. He is a unit that needs a lot of Skill Books and is almost difficult to use if he is not at his maximum. That is in his basic mode, but now we have the Repaired Cloth.
Divine Cloth Virgo Shaka’s Awakened is one of the most impactful upgrades for combo-focused teams, turning an already recognizable two-stage character into a much more threatening and increasingly automatic damage dealer. His biggest improvement is that he now activates Buddha’s Palm automatically at the start of battle, removing one of the main limitations of his original kit.
This change makes Shaka much easier to activate through passive attacks. Once his allies trigger enough assists, he opens his eyes and transforms his Basic Attack into an AoE attack capable of dealing heavy damage and applying Red Silence, making him particularly dangerous against teams that rely on active skills. With the right lineup, Shaka can begin contributing before taking his own turn. He has strong synergy with characters like Goddess Sasha EX, Divine Cloth Taurus, Taurus Hasgard, Sagittarius Sisyphus or even A cards like Crane Yuzuriha.
However, this power comes with a significant investment cost. Shaka remains a highly specialized 40-book character, and his optimal teams are considerably more restrictive than those of newer units. He can also be countered by characters such as Oneiros, Asmita, and Surplice Deathmask, depending on the matchup.
Divine Cloth Shaka is a top-tier investment for players committed to his specific archetype. However, if resources are limited, newer and more flexible units should generally come first. If you already own his core teammates and can afford the investment, his rebirth is absolutely capable of becoming a major PvP threat.
