Sagan Shinomiya (The Resurgent Commander) arrives in Kaiju No. 8 The Game as one of the most interesting support characters released to date. While her kit initially appears tailored toward Extra Attack teams, a closer look reveals a versatile buffer capable of elevating nearly any composition. Between her powerful team-wide buffs, action advancement, and critical stat boosts, Sagan quickly establishes herself as a premium support option worthy of a 5★ rating.

Her Combat Skill provides immediate value by increasing both Damage Dealt and Extra Attack Damage for all allies. In dedicated follow-up attack teams, this translates into a substantial damage increase, but even standard DPS units benefit from the universal damage boost. This flexibility makes her far less niche than many players initially assume.

The true highlight of her kit is her Ultimate. By advancing the action gauge of every ally by 50%, Sagan dramatically accelerates team rotations and damage cycles. Turn manipulation is one of the strongest mechanics in the game, allowing allies to attack sooner, generate resources faster, and maintain momentum during difficult encounters. On top of that, she grants the Command status, providing massive boosts to Critical Rate and Critical Damage across the team.
