4-Unit Core Structure
Most stable compositions run 2 damage sources, 1 buffer/debuffer, and 1 sustain or utility slot.
Here are some teams you can build and use in Kaiju 8 The Game. The game features a 4-character team composition, so it’s important to find the best possible synergy. We have DPS, supports, healers, buffers, and more, so the character pool offers plenty of combination options. If you want more details about the most used characters, check our Tier List.

Most stable compositions run 2 damage sources, 1 buffer/debuffer, and 1 sustain or utility slot.
The best teams combine buffs, debuffs, and burst windows. It is not only about stacking top units.
Open with buffs/debuffs first, then spend key actions on your carry during the damage window.
Starter PvE lineups with synergy notes based on each character's skills and passives.
Haruichi stars with Suppressive Stance (True Potential + SPD + Combat Skill DMG) on our main DPS, while Soshiro (New Possibilities) scales through Windbite and Opening for critical detonations in long fights. Kikoru (Full-Power Christmas) stabilizes the frontline and Sagan works as buffer and 2nd dps.
Here we play 2 DPS. Kaiju No. 8 (Scorching Variant) uses Extreme-Heat Dive Kick and Full-On Heatblast as an AoE Damager. Sagan adds buffs while Kikoru (Full-Power Christmas) keeps the frontline stable. While Kaiju goes hard on multiple enemies, Soshiro (United Front) accelerates offensive tempo against single targets.
This setup focuses on buffing one critical window: Haruichi with Universal Support + True Potential, Chester with Cool-Headed Command and Meticulous Planning, and Soshiro (New Possibilities) as a finisher that scales with Opening. Kikoru (Full-Power Christmas) keeps the rotation stable with buffs and HP recovery.
Soshiro (United Front) is our main and only DPS. Soshiro (Blade Specialist) and Mina (Aiming for Greater Heights) provide steady buffs to extend offensive windows. Akari (Heart of Compassion) adds sustain and utility with Rapid First Aid. Keep Soshiro buffed at all times and prioritize his ultimates to maximize damage output.
Suited is the core of this composition, designed to chain Extra Attacks off every trigger available. Kikoru (Evolving Talent) provides natural Extra Attacks that feed directly into Suited's follow-up loop, while Sagan (Dimensionally Distorted Destiny) contributes counterattacks as additional triggers. Chester supports the offensive rotation with consistent buffs, keeping the chain going every turn.
Wang Meixing and Akari Minase (Festive Christmas) form a status-ailment core that deals sustained damage through stacked DoT effects. Chester amplifies their output with targeted buffs, while Sagan (Dimensionally Distorted Destiny) adds utility and secondary pressure. Note that both Wang Meixing and Akari (Festive Christmas) are limited-time units, so this comp requires both to function at full strength.
Chester anchors this lineup as the primary buffer, powering up both Hikari and Gen Narumi simultaneously. The team's real edge is elemental coverage: with multiple characters capable of targeting different Elements, the comp consistently inflicts Core Exposed, opening up significant damage amplification windows against most boss types.
Built specifically for wave-heavy stages with multiple Miniature Kaiju, this squad stacks three Attackers with Blast and AoE tools to clear threats fast. Sagan and Kikoru (Full-Power Christmas) cover defensive utility and buffs to keep the offensive pressure sustainable. If you need more consistency against a specific boss, consider swapping one Attacker for Chester to tighten the support layer.
Raid Battles remove the need for a traditional tank, so this lineup leans into triple Support to maximize Soshiro (United Front) as the sole Attacker. Blade Specialist and Mina (Aiming for Greater Heights) stack offensive buffs while Chester provides flexible utility and action-order control. Swap the Attacker based on the target boss's Plate for best results.
A simple way to read any composition is to split it into main damage, secondary damage, support, and stability.
Primary damage dealer that converts buff windows into real target damage.
Adds secondary damage, type/element coverage, and helps close key turns.
Enables the carry with ATK, CRIT, SPD, or specific damage-multiplier buffs.
Keeps the team consistent through mitigation, healing, or tempo control.
