Capricorn Cid
Profile Update

Capricorn Cid is a physical attacker built around a simple idea: accumulate Edge stacks, convert them into Sabers, and eventually unleash a massive chain of attacks. His Repaired Cloth improves the speed at which he builds these stacks, but unfortunately, it does not fully solve all the problem that pushed him out of the meta, but gives him a new chance, thanks to his shields.

The biggest improvement is that Cid can now gain Edge stacks whenever allies take actions, allowing double-turn characters such as Athena or Odysseus to accelerate his setup. Reaching 10 stacks is therefore much more reliable, and excess stacks can provide additional Sabers or damage bonuses. His Repaired Cloth also gives him a useful self-cleanse when he reaches eight or more stacks, improving his resistance against conventional control.

However, Cid generally needs time to accumulate enough stacks before delivering his strongest attack, which makes him poorly suited for fast first-round combos. More importantly, while the Rebirth gives him more attacks, it does not significantly improve his underlying damage multipliers. Against fragile teams, his Saber chains can still look impressive, but against modern tanky compositions, damage reduction, shields, and resurrection effects, he often struggles to secure kills.

His true damage remains an interesting advantage because he does not need Physical Defense Penetration, opening up alternative Cosmo options focused on Physical Attack, HP, and Speed. Still, investment requirements are high, and Cid performs best with heavily upgraded skills and teams designed to accelerate his stack generation.

Without the Repaired Cloth, El Cid is a decent character, a DPS who can fulfill the role with the right gear, but he’s far from the level of other more modern DPS characters. With the Repaired Cloth, he becomes a more reliable DPS, and he’s used a lot in PvP thanks to his shields, which give him great survivability. He doesn’t work as well as a main DPS, but if used correctly, he’s a card that can decide matches.

The Extra Dimensional Blade deals True Damage equal to 100% of El Cid's P.ATK. In each battle, for every 6 [Extra Dimensional Blades] conjured by [Sacred Blade - Soul Sword], after this character finishes taking action, conjures one extra [Extra Dimensional Blade] for each enemy, stacking up to 2 times. Sacred Blade - Determination - Awakened

Lv1Lv2Lv3Lv4Lv5

While in combat, upon taking a hit, El Cid has a 100% chance to gain a stack of [Blade Edge]. If El Cid has 10 stacks of [Blade Edge] at the start of his turn, he immediately applies [Purify] to himself. This effect can only trigger once per round. In the first two rounds, whenever El Cid gains a [Blade Edge], he also gains 1 stack of Shield that can block damage once (up to 3 Shields each round). Starting from the third round, this effect changes to: Upon taking action, permanently gains 10% P.ATK (cannot be dispelled and can stack). Each stack of [Blade Edge] grants 2% P.ATK to El Cid, stacking up to 10 times. At 10 stacks, each additional [Blade Edge] gained increases the count of [Extra Dimensional Blade] triggered by [Sacred Blade - Soul Sword] by 1. When the number of [Extra Dimensional Blade] segments released at the end of action reaches the limit, each additional [Blade Edge] stack increases the next [Sacred Blade - Soul Sword] damage by 1%. When an allied Saint dies, El Cid immediately gains 1 stack of [Blade Edge].
