Gluttonous Soul Rapier The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin introduces Clotho as one of the most flexible support-oriented characters released so far. Rather than being locked into a single role, she can switch between multiple weapon styles that completely change her gameplay. Depending on the setup, she can function as a Wind burst enabler, a Ice support tank, or even a crit-focused DPS. That versatility is easily the most interesting part of her kit.
With her rapier setup, Clotho focuses on Wind synergy and burst generation. She applies Spatial Rift and Dimensional Rift, debuffs that weaken enemy Wind resistance while adding damage-over-time effects. The overall gameplay loop revolves around rapidly charging burst gauges and empowering Wind-based allies. She does not feel like a traditional main DPS here, but more like an engine that accelerates the entire team’s offensive rhythm. Characters that already benefit from Wind amplification or burst spam can gain a lot from her presence.
Her grimoire stance is arguably the strongest and most practical version of the character right now. In this form, Clotho becomes a Ice-oriented support tank capable of healing allies, reducing incoming damage, and massively buffing Ice attack values. The rune mechanic gives consistent sustain while also increasing elemental damage for the team. This build feels especially valuable for future Ice compositions, particularly if upcoming characters continue pushing elemental synergy-focused teams.
The staff form is more experimental and flashy. It creates overlapping zones that pull enemies together, apply dimensional erosion, and heavily boost critical stats. While visually impressive, this version currently feels harder to optimize compared to the more straightforward utility of her Ice support setup.
Overall, Clotho does not look overwhelmingly broken, but she absolutely looks useful. She feels designed for long-term account value rather than instant meta domination. Players building elemental teams, especially Wind or Ice, will likely get the most out of her.
