In Bleach Soul Resonance, Nelliel stands out as one of the most interesting SSR units currently available. While she may not look overwhelming at first glance, her real strength comes from enabling Ailment and Impale focused teams, especially alongside characters like Gin. She is not a traditional main DPS, but rather a tactical support unit that amplifies overall team damage through smart rotations and battlefield pressure.
What makes Nelliel unique is her reliance on Battle Will stacks and extended field time. Unlike faster rotation characters, she needs to stay active long enough to charge her enhanced attacks and empowered ultimate. This creates a more technical playstyle where timing matters a lot. At zero dupes, her rotations can feel noticeably slower because charging her enhanced state takes more effort, but once she starts rolling, the damage amplification becomes very noticeable.
Her synergy with Ailment Mastery is especially impressive. Even though her own multipliers are not absurdly high, she dramatically improves how often effects like Impale trigger, which is why she performs so well with Gin teams. In longer fights or boss content, this sustained pressure becomes extremely valuable. However, she does require optimization and careful execution to truly shine.
Build-wise, Nelliel benefits most from Attack and Crit, her Ultimate, and optionally Ailment Damage depending on the encounter. Her exclusive core and signature setup improve her consistency significantly, while even a single dupe smooths out her gameplay by accelerating rotations and ultimate access.
The biggest issue with Nelliel is that she can feel clunky at times. Enemies moving out of range can interrupt combo flow, and some rotations become awkward without additional dupes.
