Slater is the former captain of the Roars of Dawn, a knight order once directly loyal to the king of Liones. Known for his discipline and unwavering loyalty to King Bartra, he brings a straightforward and combat-focused approach to battle. As a SR rarity character, Slater is primarily offense-oriented, with access to Fire and Physical elements depending on his weapon choice. He can wield a Greatsword (Fire), Axe (Physical), or Nunchaku (Physical), allowing him to function as a burst attacker, a bleed-focused damage dealer, or a utility support.

With the Greatsword, Slater operates as a Fire-element attacker whose performance improves during Fire Burst. His Passive increases his damage against enemies affected by Fire Burst, and his Special Attack gains additional power when used in this state. His kit also includes synergy with Stun, as his Normal Skill deals increased damage to stunned enemies. Since his Ultimate can apply Stun during Fire Burst, his gameplay often revolves around setting up this condition and following with enhanced attacks. This form benefits from teammates who can trigger Burst quickly or apply additional crowd control.

In his Axe configuration, Slater becomes a bleed-focused attacker with some debuff utility. His Normal Skill enhances Bleed effects, allowing him to deal consistent damage over time, especially when combined with his Special Attack. His Passive introduces a chance to reset the cooldown of his Special Attack when hitting bleeding enemies, enabling repeated application and extension of Bleed. His Ultimate enhances the effectiveness of allied Tag Skills, supporting coordinated damage sequences. He can also reduce enemy Critical Resistance through his Special Attack, indirectly increasing team damage output. However, his own Burst generation is less consistent in this form, often requiring support from other characters to maintain optimal rotations.
