Black Flame Wings Dual Swords Tristan is a hybrid fighter who combines offensive pressure with strong Burst support, adapting his role depending on his weapon choice. We all have Tristan, the free SR character. Tristan can utilize both Fire and Wind elements, giving him flexibility in team compositions. He can wield Dual Swords or a Greatsword for Fire-based builds, or a Longsword for Wind-focused playstyles. His kit is centered around Burst generation, debuff application, and enabling allies, making him more of a setup-oriented unit than a purely independent damage dealer.
With Dual Swords, Tristan acts as a Fire Burst enabler who focuses on quickly building the Burst Gauge. His Normal Skill gains increased efficiency when used against enemies affected by a Fire Defense debuff, which he can apply himself through his Special Attack. His Passive enhances the Fire damage of all allies when he triggers a Fire Burst, reinforcing his role as a support for Fire teams. This makes him effective in compositions that rely on strong Burst windows, where he can set up conditions and then switch to a primary attacker to capitalize on the increased damage.
In his Greatsword configuration, Tristan becomes a more direct attacker with a focus on stacking buffs before dealing damage. His Special Attack grants “Ember” stacks, which increase the power of his Normal Skills and Ultimate Move. Since these stacks are consumed upon using those abilities, his gameplay revolves around building Ember and releasing it at the right moment. His Ultimate can also be charged to further increase damage, though it requires careful timing due to limited mobility while charging. This form benefits from external support, particularly from characters that improve Critical performance or reduce enemy resistances.
When equipped with a Longsword, Tristan shifts into a Wind-element Burst generator with added utility. His kit revolves around applying Bleed through his Special Attack and then using his Normal Skill to rapidly accumulate Burst Gauge against affected enemies. Bleed also provides damage over time and prevents healing, giving him utility against sustain-based enemies. His ability to consistently build Wind Burst makes him a strong partner for Wind attackers who benefit from Burst windows, allowing for more frequent and efficient damage cycles.
