Grimmjow Resurrección is easily one of the most exciting SSR releases in Bleach Soul Resonance so far. As the first major half-anniversary character, expectations were extremely high, and thankfully, Panta Grimmjow (as we like to name him) delivers a flashy, aggressive playstyle that feels incredibly satisfying in combat. His animations are brutal, his pressure is constant, and when properly invested, he becomes one of the strongest Strike-focused carries in the game.
The biggest thing to understand about Grimmjow is that he’s not a plug-and-play hypercarry. His performance is heavily tied to Soi Fon, who acts as the core enabler of the entire composition. Without her buffs, Grimmjow still performs well, but the team loses a massive amount of synergy and overall damage potential. In fact, one of the most surprising discoveries from early testing is that Yoruichi + Soi Fon can produce numbers surprisingly close to Grimmjow teams at base investment.
That does not mean Grimmjow is weak. Far from it. The difference appears once you start investing into his Core Stamp, ascensions, and weapon progression. At higher investment levels, Grimmjow clearly overtakes Yoruichi and scales much harder into endgame content. His synergy with Mayuri also unlocks significantly higher DPS ceilings, especially for players willing to maximize multiple support units.
Still, for free-to-play or low-investment players, Grimmjow can feel a little too balanced for a limited anniversary unit. That’s why some players are considering skipping him in favor of upcoming characters like White Ichigo or Ulquiorra Cifer, who may bring more value to weaker archetypes.
Even with those concerns, Grimmjow remains an extremely fun SSR with excellent scaling and one of the coolest combat flows currently available in the game. If you love the character summoning him is absolutely justified.
