Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez joins Bleach Soul Resonance as the game’s first SR+ unit, sitting in an interesting middle ground between standard SR characters and top-tier SSR units. While he may not completely redefine the meta, Grimmjow still delivers a fast, flashy, and surprisingly fun playstyle that many players will enjoy, especially fans of aggressive melee combat.
The character focuses heavily on constant pressure, perfect dodges, and maintaining momentum through his Destruction Form. His gameplay loop revolves around building Ultimate Charge quickly, activating Gran Rey Cero, and entering a temporary empowered state where his basic attacks become dramatically stronger. During this mode, Grimmjow feels incredibly fluid, chaining attacks, counters, and dodge mechanics together at high speed.
One of his most interesting mechanics is the automatic Perfect Dodge interaction tied to his ultimate state. Every successful activation grants additional attack damage, rewarding players who stay aggressive while still reacting to enemy attacks. Combined with his counter system and destruction marks, Grimmjow creates a combat style that feels active and engaging rather than repetitive.
His scaling also depends heavily on Ultimate Recharge, Critical stats, and proper rotations. Players who enjoy technical gameplay will likely appreciate his design, but casual players may find the constant switching and timing requirements slightly demanding.
However, despite how enjoyable he is mechanically, Grimmjow struggles to compete directly with stronger SSR damage dealers like Yoruichi. Testing shows that even a partially optimized Yoruichi can outperform him in overall damage, especially in optimized Strike compositions. In the end, Grimmjow SR+ feels less like a meta-defining powerhouse and more like a fun experimental DPS option.
