Gen Narumi Japan’s Strongest Combatant is a 5★ Slash/Shot Attacker who excels in close-range combat and multi-enemy encounters. Both his Combat Skill and Ultimate strike adjacent enemies, giving him strong area coverage and making him especially effective against groups of smaller Kaiju.
As a dual-element physical Attacker, Gen offers valuable versatility in stages with high Physical RES, outperforming single-attribute characters in plate-heavy encounters. His wide attack range allows him to apply pressure across multiple targets while maintaining consistent damage output.
Gen’s Passive Skill changes based on his Ultimate Gauge. Below 50%, he gains a Speed buff, helping him act faster and charge his Ultimate more quickly. Once the gauge reaches 50% or higher, his Combat Skill grants a DMG Dealt buff, allowing his damage to ramp up naturally as the fight progresses.
He also specializes in exploiting enemy weaknesses. His Combat Skill inflicts Core Exposed and advances his Action Order, enabling faster follow-up attacks. Against Core-Exposed enemies, Gen gains additional damage bonuses, making him highly effective at both creating and punishing vulnerabilities. He is great, but I feel like there are better DPS at the moment.
