Ulquiorra arrives in Bleach Soul Resonance as the game’s second SR+ character, and while his overall power level may not rival top-tier SSR units, he easily ranks among the most visually impressive characters currently available. From his sleek combat animations to the iconic green energy effects surrounding his attacks, this version of Ulquiorra perfectly captures the essence of the Fourth Espada.
His gameplay revolves around building and consuming Cero Marks through four different attack types: basic attacks, special attacks, techniques, and counters. Once all marks are collected, Ulquiorra can unleash enhanced attacks and powerful Cero combinations, creating a fast-paced rotation that rewards proper sequencing. The mechanic is straightforward yet engaging, making him accessible while still offering some depth.
One of the highlights of his kit is Form of Void, activated after using his Ultimate. During this state, Ulquiorra gains significant damage bonuses and can continuously fire devastating Ceros, creating some of the flashiest moments in combat. His Ultimate itself hits surprisingly hard and serves as the centerpiece of his damage output.
However, despite his impressive visuals, Ulquiorra struggles to compete with premium SSR units at low investment levels. Much of his potential is locked behind duplicates, weapon upgrades, and Boundary enhancements. Players who only obtain the free copies may find his overall performance somewhat underwhelming compared to more established meta characters.
Ulquiorra is less of a meta-defining powerhouse and more of a passion character designed for fans of the Espada. His damage can become respectable with investment, but his true appeal lies in his stunning presentation and enjoyable gameplay. If you’re looking for pure efficiency, stronger options exist. If you’re an Ulquiorra fan, however, this SR+ unit is an easy recommendation and a welcome addition to any roster.
