Ichigo Kurosaki (Shikai) is one of the earliest SR characters available in Bleach Soul Resonance, and for many players, he quickly replaces Initial Ichigo as their primary damage dealer. While both versions share a focus on slash damage, Shikai Ichigo introduces a more aggressive and fluid combat style built around Spiritual Power Release, making him one of the strongest SR units for sustained DPS.

Unlike Initial Ichigo, whose damage relies heavily on chaining skills and empowered special attacks, Shikai Ichigo excels through constant pressure. His passive allows his normal attacks to launch piercing sword waves that travel through enemies, giving him excellent reach and consistent damage against both single targets and groups. Once his Spiritual Pressure is fully charged, his technique gains a stronger follow-up attack, creating a rewarding gameplay loop that encourages aggressive combat.

His Ultimate, Getsuga Tensho, is simple but effective. The attack pierces through enemies in a straight line, making it particularly useful for clearing clustered mobs and controlling battlefield positioning. Meanwhile, his counterattack not only deals heavy damage but also increases the slash damage enemies receive, further boosting his overall DPS potential.

What truly makes Shikai Ichigo stand out is his scaling. His passive boosts increase attack speed and give his sword waves a chance to deal double damage, allowing him to maintain impressive damage output even when compared to some higher-rarity characters. Combined with his Weapon Stamp, which extends Spiritual Power Release and strengthens his technique, Shikai Ichigo becomes a highly efficient and reliable DPS unit.

While he lacks the utility and explosive burst of some SSR characters, Shikai Ichigo remains as one interesting SR investment in the game, offering good performance for players looking for a dependable slash-focused fighter. Just remember, like Ichigo Initial, these are just filler characters and won’t be on meta in the long run.
