Ichigo Kurosaki (Initial) is the first character most players will experience in Bleach Soul Resonance, and despite his SR rarity, he proves to be far more capable than many players expect. While SSR units naturally possess higher stats and stronger scaling, Initial Ichigo remains a reliable damage dealer throughout the early and mid-game thanks to his straightforward kit, excellent combo potential, and surprisingly strong passive effects.
His gameplay revolves around building and utilizing Spiritual Pressure, allowing him to chain attacks into powerful follow-up slashes and extended combos. Once players unlock and equip his signature Weapon Stamp, his combat flow becomes significantly smoother, enabling immediate access to enhanced attacks without waiting for his Spiritual Pressure gauge to fill. This creates a fast-paced playstyle that feels both satisfying and effective against bosses and groups of enemies alike.
One of Ichigo’s standout features is his ability to pull enemies together with his skill, functioning as a miniature vortex. This crowd-control effect creates opportunities for devastating area attacks from teammates and helps maintain consistent damage output during combat. Combined with his stacking damage passives, Ichigo becomes increasingly dangerous as battles progress.
His Ultimate is another highlight, delivering multiple sword strikes followed by a powerful finishing blow. While the attack is relatively straightforward, it offers excellent damage and can clear groups of enemies or heavily punish bosses caught within its range.
Although he eventually gets overshadowed by stronger SSR characters, Initial Ichigo remains one of the best SR units available. His simple mechanics, strong synergy with his Weapon Stamp, and impressive damage scaling make him a valuable investment for both new and free-to-play players. Just don’t invest so much on him, in mid-game you will be using other DPS.
