Byakuya Kuchiki is an SSR Tactic unit in Bleach Soul Resonance who is good as an off-field DPS and team enabler, making him one of the strongest tactical characters currently available. Unlike traditional on-field carries, Byakuya’s value comes from his ability to deal consistent damage while not actively on the field, thanks to his Battlefield Skill mechanics.

His core gameplay revolves around triggering Battlefield Skills whenever teammates use their abilities. This allows him to continuously contribute damage in the background, making team rotations smoother and more efficient. When played correctly, Byakuya becomes a constant source of pressure, layering damage on top of your main DPS without interrupting their uptime.

Another key strength is his scaling through passives and stacking mechanics, which increase his overall damage potential over time. With proper setup, especially using his signature weapon, he gains additional energy generation, higher stack limits, and increased damage on his abilities. This significantly boosts both his consistency and peak output.

Byakuya also offers team utility, particularly through builds that enhance Ultimate uptime or provide team-wide buffs. His synergy with slash-based teams is especially strong, pairing well with DPS units like Bankai Ichigo, where he complements burst damage with sustained off-field pressure.

Dodge

Flash Step

Use Flash Step to avoid attacks right before they hit. Perfect Dodges inflict [True Time Freeze] for 1.5s, during which Byakuya gains 15% ASPD and 25% MSPD for 4s. Cooldown: 15s.

Counter

After Byakuya parries the enemy's attack, he immediately casts a Bakudo spell to restrict the enemy's movement, then casts another Kido spell to deal damage equal to [694%] of his ATK.

Basic Attack

- Byakuya slashes the enemy in front of him with Senbonsakura, dealing up to 4 hits and causing damage equal to [194%] of ATK.
- [Dancing Petals]: Byakuya wields a sword composed of cherry blossoms, dealing up to 5 consecutive hits, dealing damage equal to [410%] of ATK and gaining spiritual energy upon hitting.
- [Piercing Blade]: While holding down the attack button, Byakuya controls Senbonsakura to unleash a strike on the enemy, dealing damage equal to [594%] of ATK and continuously consuming his own spiritual energy; once the attack is completed, it will deal additional damage equal to [360%] of ATK. During the cast duration, all countdowns related to Byakuya’s current state will be paused, and the [Bankai] state will be activated immediately after the cast is complete.

Technique

Scatter, Senbonzakura

- The senbonsakura petals scatter into countless fragments that strike the enemy, dealing damage equal to [574%] of ATK after 3.5 seconds.
- While casting, you can switch characters on the field, and Byakuya will remain on the field until the attack is complete.
- When the battlefield skill is active, you can gain 4 battlefield skill points by unleashing this technique.
- [Absolute Despair] [Bankai State]: Byakuya controls the surge of cherry blossoms to attack the enemy up to 3 times, dealing damage equivalent to [912%] of ATK and gaining spiritual energy upon hitting."

Ultimate

- After Byakuya releases his sword into multiple blades, he will strike the enemy multiple times faster than with his Shikai, dealing damage equivalent to [528%] of his ATK. When he enters the [Bankai] state. At this point, his basic attacks and techniques will be strengthened. The [Bankai] state will last 15 seconds and will not end when Byakuya is swapped out.

Thousand Blade Funeral

- While Byakuya’s battlefield skills are active, the Slash damage of all team members is increased by [30%].
- Byakuya condenses the petals floating in the air into sword blades and stabs the enemy simultaneously to pin them to the ground, dealing damage equal to [150%] of ATK.
- If Byakuya’s battlefield skill energy drops to zero, after releasing this skill, you can tap the battlefield skill button again at that moment, and Byakuya will launch a follow-up attack, the effect of which is equivalent to the fourth hit of his basic attack.
