Sea Horse Baian is an A-rank hybrid DPS/support unit with a simple burst pattern and a one-time team speed utility. He is mostly an off-meta option in current PvP, but he can still help beginner and mid-progression teams that need a straightforward damage dealer with occasional tempo support.
His value is concentrated in two areas. God Breath provides a single-use team speed increase for the next turn, which can help secure an important rotation window, while Rising Billows and God Punch give his main single-target damage profile, especially against faster enemies where the extra Tidal Wave damage is active.
Overall, Baian is a budget-friendly transitional unit that can perform in early account progression and niche compositions, particularly when your team wants a temporary speed swing without complex setup. However, at this time, he has no use in PvP or even PvE.
