Grand Pope is one of the characters in Saint Seiya Awakening who had an interesting role early in the game. His identity is built almost entirely around control: Another Dimension can heavily disrupt enemy turns, Mysterious Devil Punch gives him a chance to inflict Confusion on a priority target, and his basic attack even boosts his own Status HIT to help that plan become more reliable. On top of that, Gemini Maze - Awakened gives him some defensive utility by redirecting skills and making his kit cheaper if its condition is met.
The problem is that all of this is too expensive and too inefficient by modern standards. Another Dimension is still the only reason to consider him, but its energy cost is high and many newer control units now offer better tempo, more consistency, or more utility for less investment. Outside of that one signature mechanic, Grand Pope does not bring enough damage, pressure, or flexibility to justify a team slot. At this point, he is mostly a collectible unit rather than a serious meta option.
