A new preview for Seven Deadly Sins: Origin has surfaced, revealing that Derieri — one of the Ten Commandments from the original Nanatsu no Taizai manga — will be the next playable character joining the roster. Derieri will be an SSR rarity character with Dark affinity across all three of her masterable weapons.

This follows the recent 1.7 update that brought Gowther into the game alongside a wave of new creatures, items, and quests. Gowther’s release wasn’t as successful as the devs had hoped, and now the game itself is in a bit of a strange place. Let’s see if Derieri can make a difference, but to start with, he’s a Dark DPS-type character (and Fire), and we already have Meliodas filling that role. We’ll see, we’ll see.

📅 The [SSR] Derieri Pick Up banner will runs from August 5 to August 26 (UTC).

  • SSR guaranteed within 80 draws, with a 50% chance for the Pick Up hero.
  • 120th Draw Bonus guarantees Derieri once per banner; pity carries over between Hero Pick Up banners.
  • A trial event lets you test a fully upgraded Derieri for Star Fragments, Supreme Mastery EXP and more.
  • The Crimson Flame Fighting Spirit banner includes the outfit skin Red Flame of the Demon Realm and the weapon skin Demon Gauntlets Derrakin (Gauntlets), both guaranteed within 10 draws. Skins are purely cosmetic.

Who is Derieri?

For those unfamiliar with the source material, Derieri is an elite demon of the Demon Clan and a member of the Ten Commandments, bearing the Commandment of Purity. She wields the magical power known as “Combo Star” and is known for her relaxed, laid-back demeanor — often speaking in short, clipped phrases. Her companion Monspeet frequently acts as her unofficial interpreter.

Dediere Skin

In the original story, she has the fearsome ability to sacrifice six of her seven hearts to trigger a transformation that significantly amplifies her power.

With Update 1.8 on the horizon, Derieri’s addition signals that Netmarble is committed to expanding the Ten Commandments roster. Given that Derieri often pairs with Monspeet in the original story, it wouldn’t be surprising to see him follow in a future update.
