Progression Phases

Phase 1: The Foundation (World Level 1 | Levels 1-15)

The game starts off very generous with rewards, but many players get overconfident and hit a wall early against bosses like Twiggo. Choosing Your "Main Carry": Efficiency in this game comes from vertical investment, not horizontal. Pick one damage dealer and dump everything into them. Meliodas, Jericho, and Diane are solid choices SSRs. If you don't have them, Tristan (SR) is a fantastic alternative because he fits into multiple team archetypes (Fire/Wind) and remains relevant even in the late game.

The Secret of Masteries: Stats from secondary weapon trees actually apply to your main character. For example, even if you main Twin Swords, leveling up the Greatsword tree grants passive attack bonuses to your character. Pro Tip: Only worry about "Sub-nodes" for the weapon you currently have equipped. For other weapons, just level the main nodes and limit breaks for the raw stat boosts.

The Workbench is King: Don't ignore mining nodes. Every time you craft, you level up your Crafting Bench. This allows you to create Spell Beads. At the blue level, these can add +400 flat attack to a weapon. In the early game, that boost alone can triple your damage output.

Choose One Main Carry

Strong options include Meliodas, Jericho, and Diane. If you do not have them, Tristan (SR) is a practical fallback with good long-term utility.

Abuse Mastery Value

Secondary weapon trees still grant passive stats to your character. Focus sub-nodes only for your currently equipped weapon and keep main nodes progressing in the others.

Level the Workbench

Mining and crafting are not optional. Early Spell Beads can add large flat attack and dramatically increase your clear speed.

Phase 2: The Defensive Wall (World Level 2 | Levels 15-30)

This is where the difficulty spikes. Bosses like Dreyfus, Frain, and Gila have much higher defense values, making your attacks feel like they’re doing zero damage.

Overcoming High Defense: If you feel weak, it’s likely an Attack stat issue. Check if you are blocked by Elite Tokens (farmed from the Werebear Chieftain). You need these to break the level 30 mastery cap.

Resource Management (The Key Rule): Do not spend all your dungeon keys in World Level 2. The gear dropped here is mediocre and will be replaced immediately in World Level 3. Save as many keys as possible for the next tier.

The Side Quest "Buffer": The main story often has level gaps (e.g., you finish a mission at level 26 but the next needs level 30). Don't force difficult boss fights if you are under-leveled. Side quests have almost zero difficulty and provide a massive amount of gold and the "Book of Stars" XP needed to reach Helbram (the gatekeeper to World Level 3).

Stamp Vendors: Look for vendors with a "tick" icon in each zone. You can trade 150 local seals for SR Weapon Chests. This is the most reliable way to gear up if your gacha luck has been poor.

Break the Mastery Cap

If your damage falls off hard, check whether you are blocked by Elite Tokens from the Werebear Chieftain. This gate is often the real reason for weak performance.

Save Dungeon Keys

Do not dump all keys in World Level 2. Much of this gear is quickly replaced in World Level 3, so key hoarding here gives you a huge advantage later.

Use Side Quests as Buffer XP

When story level requirements jump, use side missions to close the gap safely and farm gold + Book of Stars XP before challenging gatekeeper fights.

Use Stamp Vendors

Exchange 150 local seals for SR Weapon Chests at vendor locations marked with a tick icon. It is a reliable fallback when your pulls are unlucky.

Phase 3: The Power Explosion (World Level 3 | Levels 30-40)

Once you beat Helbram, the game’s reward system changes completely. This is where you transition from "surviving" to "dominating."

The World Boss Circuit (Red Demon, Frog, Turtle): Ignore the Gold and XP dungeons. Their key-to-reward ratio is terrible. Instead, spend your saved keys on the big Open World bosses.

The Red Demon: This is the most efficient farm. His animations are telegraphic; once you learn them, you can clear the fight perfectly without taking a single hit.

SSR Gear & Set Bonuses: World Level 3 bosses start dropping SSR (Gold) Gear. These items have nearly double the base stats of previous tiers. Focus on the 2-piece set bonus first for a flat 5% damage increase to your carry.

Team Survivability: You don't need to spend resources leveling up your support characters' levels. Just give them the "hand-me-down" gear from your main carry. The high base HP and Defense from World Level 3 gear will keep them alive long enough to provide utility.

Farm World Boss Circuit

Prioritize open-world bosses (Red Demon, Frog, Turtle) over basic gold/XP dungeon spam. Key efficiency is significantly higher.

Transition to SSR Gear

Focus on replacing weak pieces and securing your first 2-piece damage bonus set for your main carry.

Supports Use Hand-Me-Down Gear

You do not need to hard invest in support levels immediately. Give them old high-tier pieces from your carry to stabilize team survivability.

Final Push to Level 40 and World Level 4

The main story ends before you reach level 40. To unlock World Level 4, you must go back and "clean up" the world map. This includes finding hidden Star Fragments and completing every side mission you skipped. Final Strategic Reminder: Maximize your Attack first. If a boss is killing you too fast, it’s a gear issue (HP/Def). If the timer is running out, it’s a Mastery/Spell Bead issue (Attack).

Red Demon route / first SSR set setup
Of course, I haven't reached that point yet, so this guide will be updated over time as more people progress through the game.
