Considerations

Just like the servers in the Americas and Europe—which make up the Global version of Saint Seiya Awakening Kotz operated by GTArcade—the system takes into account the number of times a participant has won the tournament, the number of times they have reached the finals, the number of times they have advanced to the semifinals, and their last date of participation, and uses this information to calculate their ranking based on their score. Additionally, it uses an ELO rating to determine individual skill level.

The Intercontinental Competition brings together the finalists from the North American and European tournaments and pits them against each other in a four-player single-elimination mini-tournament. The European champion faces the North American runner-up, and vice versa. It is the most important monthly tournament for Jamir participants, which is why we’ve seen significant coverage from content creators.

However, because it’s interregional in nature, it’s the tournament that has suffered the most severe bugs. Not only were there matches cut short by disconnections, but sometimes the game wouldn’t even start the tournament, so it wouldn’t take place and wouldn’t appear in the results. Or it wouldn’t run at all, automatically assigning winners. To avoid special adjustments, in cases where the tournament didn’t take place, the results were left blank, and in cases where automatic winners were generated, the system’s recorded results were used.
