One of the most anticipated characters in the game’s history has finally arrived: Divine Cloth Gemini Saga is now on the beta test server of Saint Seiya Awakening: KotZ in China. There is probably no other unit the community has asked for this much — sorry, Shaka — so his debut is being followed very closely by players in the Americas, Europe and China alike.
Release date: November in China, December on Global
| Server | Release |
|---|---|
| China (KotZ) | November 2026 |
| Global | December 2026 (expected) |
Divine Cloth Gemini Saga should become available in November on the Chinese server, and the expectation is a December launch on Global. Our Divine Cloth Gemini Saga character page is already tracking December 15 as a reference date, so that’s the window to start saving gems and skill books for. As usual with Tencent, dates can still move: the Global release may slip a week or two depending on how the Chinese launch goes and on how much the kit changes during testing.
The most watched release of the year
Divine Cloth Gemini Saga is also the last of the twelve Gold Saints to receive a Divine Cloth, which closes a lineup the game has been building for years. That alone explains the pressure around him: this is not a filler banner before the anniversary, it’s the unit many players have been waiting for since the first Divine Cloth released.
There is a competitive angle too. Whatever happens on the Chinese test server in the coming weeks will decide how he lands on Global, and the community on both sides of the ocean knows it. Expect the usual cycle: first gameplay clips, then damage showcases, then the “he’s overtuned” threads, and finally one or two adjustments before release. If you already pulled for Aries Gateguard, keep in mind what we said in that review — December is going to be expensive.
On paper, Divine Cloth Gemini Saga looks like the complete package: top-tier single-target damage with a ramp that punishes slow setups, a control effect that scales with how much you attack, and a pseudo-1v1 that removes a key piece from the enemy team for two turns. If the numbers survive testing, he will be one of those units that defines a season.
The usual caveats apply. This is an early test-server version, so his skills could change drastically — or stay exactly as they are. We’ll keep the character page updated as new builds appear and cover the Chinese launch in November with the final values. For now, keep an eye on the official Saint Seiya Awakening Discord for the banner announcement. And after all this waiting, we’ll finally get to see whether the most powerful version of Gemini Saga was worth it.
