Black Flame Wings Staff Lancelot is an unusually flexible SSR in Seven Deadly Sins: Origin, offering three distinct builds: Holy DPS, Physical DPS, and Earth support. That versatility is arguably his biggest strength, although it also makes choosing where to invest resources more complicated. An interesting character who arrives at a challenging time for the game—let’s see if Lancelot can offer something that will appeal to players.
His Holy build is the most impressive at first glance. Lancelot revolves around cycling his special and normal skills to unlock enhanced attacks, eventually turning his basic attacks into powerful ultimate-style abilities. His rotation allows him to chain multiple ultimates and reset his cooldowns, giving him excellent sustained damage potential. The playstyle strongly resembles Carla, with a fast rotation that rewards keeping his buffs active. However, his strongest rotation appears to be heavily tied to duplicates, with some important enhancements locked behind higher Potential levels.
The Physical build focuses on perfect charges and repeatedly converting abilities into Normal Skills. It is mechanically straightforward and can deliver excellent sustained damage while maintaining its stance. The problem is competition with Ban, who already fills the Physical DPS role effectively. Until Physical content becomes more relevant, Lancelot’s second DPS build may struggle to justify investing in both characters.
His Earth support build may ultimately be the most practical for existing Earth teams. It restores Tag Gauge, increases Earth-related damage, provides Crit Damage buffs, and applies Anchor Shot to support characters such as Ban and Diane. It also gives Diane more useful synergy, making Lancelot more than just another Ban-focused support.
Overall, Lancelot looks powerful but investment-heavy. His Holy build has the highest ceiling, while his Earth support offers valuable team utility. If you already have strong DPS options, I would prioritize his support potential rather than immediately chasing high duplicates. It will still be many days before we see the character’s true impact on the metagame, so this guide will be updated as events that make the most of the character are released.
