It’s official: Candice Catnipp is the next Limited SSR coming to Bleach: Soul Resonance, and she’s confirmed to arrive on September 23 together with her Weapon Stamp. The announcement surfaced a little earlier than expected — the European Google Play listing slipped out her banner art ahead of schedule, showing off the character’s design with the classic “New Limited SSR” tag before the official channels caught up.
That first look is mostly what we had to work with for a few days: a promo image, not a banner preview, not gameplay, and not a full kit reveal. So the interesting part of the confirmation is the date itself. We had been pointing at September 16, which came and went, and the release has now landed one week later — the usual pattern for this game when a patch window shifts.
The Finesse Team Is Finally Complete
Since Bambietta Basterbine introduced the Finesse typing in August, the roster has been filling out one piece at a time: an Assault, then a Tactic, and now the Support slot. As we mentioned when Vollstandig Uryu was confirmed, Candice was already announced as the team’s Finesse Support in the developer notes, so her release is the final piece of the Thousand-Year Blood War collaboration lineup.
| Character | Role | Release Date |
|---|---|---|
| Bambietta Basterbine | Finesse · Assault | Available now |
| Vollstandig Uryu | Finesse · Tactic | Available now |
| Candice Catnipp | Finesse · Support | September 23 |
The banner art itself doesn’t confirm a color or typing, but if the developer notes hold up, she stays Finesse — which means the three of them are designed to be played together. Anyone who pulled for Bambietta and Uryu already has two thirds of a team, and Candice is the piece that should tie the composition together.
About Candice Catnipp
For anyone who doesn’t know her from the source material, Candice Catnipp is a Sternritter of the Vandenreich bearing the epithet “T” — The Thunderbolt. Her Schrift lets her generate and shape electricity, which she fires as reishi arrows and lightning-charged attacks, making her one of the most straightforwardly offensive Quincy in the Thousand-Year Blood War arc.
She also belongs to Bambietta’s squad — the group fans usually call Bambietta’s Elite, alongside Giselle Gewelle, Liltotto Lamperd and Meninas McAllon. She’s hot-headed, proud and quick to pick a fight, which contrasts nicely with the calm, technical playstyle the Finesse typing has leaned into so far.
What We Still Don’t Know
Bleach: Soul Resonance has a habit of revealing skill sets just a day or two before release, so we don’t have Candice’s kit, gameplay or ascension details yet. Expect the full breakdown — skills, Weapon Stamp, and her role in the Finesse trio — to drop right before or on September 23.
We’ll update this post as soon as the details are published, and we’ll be building her character page on the site once her kit is live.
