Lugonis, the saint of the Pisces temple, master of Albafica, is a very interesting tech unit. He is a buffer, giving our chosen ally the ability to inflict Bleed, as well as other bonuses and a turn at the end of the round. He can also debuff the opponent and deal some damage through bleeding. However, he is not that easy to use and requires lineups and companions that can benefit from his buffs correctly.
With maxed skills, Lugonis’ Piranhan Rose consumes only 5% of his current HP and deals 130% P.DMG while triggering all five senses: +1 energy cost, 60% chance to restrict, -20% SPD, removes shields, and applies + detonates Bleed. Crimson Bond grants the bonded ally 40% of Lugonis’ bonus Max HP, and every 4% HP he loses provides the ally with a 40% HP restore, an extra turn, shield ignore, +30% SPD, and +1 energy. Venomous Blood inflicts Bleed on any enemy hit by the bonded ally, healing Lugonis 5% max HP per target, with each Bleed stack dealing 57% of the target’s max HP (up to 5 stacks).
A lot happens when Lugonis enters the battlefield and starts applying his buffs and debuffs. It’s not very easy to understand, so it’s not easy to use correctly either. However, he’s a unit with a lot of potential. Right now, its usage is somewhat low—you don’t see it much in PvP—though it does have a place in PvE when used with Shura DC. A future Awakened Cloth could boost its usage even further, or perhaps a new character that can take advantage of its strong mechanics.
