Ophiuchus Odysseus remains one of the best support units in Saint Seiya Awakening. Rather than functioning as a traditional healer or tank, Odysseus excels as a utility-focused support capable of healing, protecting allies, counterattacking, reviving fallen teammates, and disrupting enemy strategies through his versatile Secret system.
His defining mechanic is Path of Awakening, which allows him to activate one of six different Secrets, each tailored to a specific situation. These Secrets provide healing, counterattacks, shield destruction, crowd control, and resurrection effects, giving Odysseus an answer to a wide variety of threats. With his Rebirth upgrade, the first activation of this ability becomes significantly stronger, allowing him to trigger two Secrets during the opening round, dramatically improving his early-game impact.
One of his biggest strengths is flexibility. Depending on the matchup, Odysseus can punish energy-hungry enemies, reflect incoming damage, destroy defensive barriers, or provide life-saving resurrection effects. The Rebirth bonuses also add additional defensive layers, healing improvements, and damage mitigation that make his team considerably harder to eliminate.
His passive resurrection mechanic further increases his survivability. Even after being defeated, Odysseus can remain on the battlefield in a ghost-like state before returning to combat, forcing opponents to invest additional resources to fully remove him.
Despite his versatility, Odysseus is not without flaws. His effectiveness relies heavily on proper Secret management, and several of his effects trigger automatically rather than on command. This can occasionally result in wasted activations at critical moments. Furthermore, he remains vulnerable to crowd-control effects that prevent him from activating his Secrets altogether.
Even so, Ophiuchus Odysseus remains one of the most complete support Saints in the game, capable of fitting into numerous defensive and sustain-oriented team compositions.
