The Jamir Galactic Championship (JGC) 2026 is officially underway for Saint Seiya Awakening: KotZ! The full tournament rules have been published, covering everything from the qualification system and points distribution to the prizes for the top competitors, via the Saint Seiya Kotz Facebook Official Page. The JGC 2026 will feature two competitive modes: Jamir Mode and Sacred Duel Mode, culminating in live finals on September 5 and 6.

The first batch of qualified players for the Supreme Champion mode has also been revealed. Let’s break down everything you need to know.

Important: All tournament organization, communication, and match coordination will happen through the official Saint Seiya Awakening Discord server. If you plan to participate, make sure you’re on the server and monitoring the #jgc-questions channel.

Tournament Format Overview

The JGC 2026 is structured in three phases:

  1. Qualification (June & July): Players compete in monthly Jamir Qualification Rounds and Sacred Duel Seasons to earn points.
  2. Seeded Playoffs (August): The top 8 players from A Server and top 8 from E Server in each mode advance to seeded playoffs.
  3. Live Finals (September 5–6): The top 4 from each server bracket compete in a live-streamed finals event.

Players may qualify for both modes, but can only participate in one Live Finals bracket. If a player qualifies for both, they will be assigned to Jamir Mode, and the vacant Sacred Duel slot goes to the next eligible player per the ranking.

Points System

Points are awarded each month based on your final ranking in the Qualification Round (Jamir) or Season leaderboard (Sacred Duel). Only June and July results count — August will not be considered.

4th – 5th5 pts
6th – 8th4 pts
9th – 12th3 pts
13th – 16th2 pts
17th – 32nd1 pt

Your total score is the sum of both months’ points. Rankings are maintained separately for A and E servers.

Advancement Quotas

The top 8 players by total points on each server (A/E) for each mode will advance to the Seeded Playoffs in August.

Tiebreakers

If two or more players are tied on total points, the following criteria are applied in order:

  1. Sum of raw scores from both months’ Qualification Rounds.
  2. Higher final ranking in July.
  3. Higher final ranking in June.

Seeded Playoffs & Live Finals

One round of Seeded Playoffs will determine the Top 4 from A Server and Top 4 from E Server for each mode. These 8 players per mode will then proceed to the live finals on September 5 and 6.

  • Qualifier matches: Bo3 format (Best of 3), Normal rules (same as Jamir qualification).
  • Live Finals matches: Bo5 format (Best of 5), streamed with casters on official channels.
  • Matches will be hosted by a Mod, who shares the room ID and password with players.
  • Failure to join the room on time results in a loss by default.

Prizes

All players who participate in an official JGC match — whether Seeded Playoff or Live Finals — will receive the newest EX/SS unit for free. The unit is not required to be used in tournament matches.

Final Thoughts

The JGC 2026 is shaping up to be the biggest Saint Seiya Awakening tournament of the year (here you can check past winners of the Galactic Championship). With cash prizes, exclusive avatar frames, and a free EX/SS unit for participants, there’s plenty of incentive to compete. The live finals in September will be streamed with casters and rewards will be given out during the stream, so even if you’re not competing, make sure to tune in.
