Rin Shinonome - Aspiration and Honor is a Shot-type AoE Attacker very good in battles filled with multiple enemies. With both her Combat Skill and Ultimate dealing area-of-effect damage, Rin is at her best when clearing waves of Miniature-sized Kaiju quickly and efficiently.
Rin’s defining strength is her scaling damage in multi-enemy encounters. Her DMG Dealt increases for every Kaiju she hits, meaning her damage ramps up naturally as enemy numbers rise. The more crowded the battlefield, the more threatening she becomes, making her an excellent pick for farming stages, story missions, and wave-based content.
She also boasts a fast Ultimate rotation. Thanks to her Passive Skill, Rin gains Ultimate Gauge whenever she defeats a Kaiju, allowing her to cycle Ultimates frequently in battles with many enemies. On top of that, if her Ultimate breaks a Kaiju’s Resistance, her action order is advanced—letting her act again sooner and potentially chain powerful AoE attacks back-to-back.
However, Rin’s performance is closely tied to her survivability. Her main offensive buff requires her HP to remain at 70% or higher, so keeping her healthy is essential. Pairing her with a reliable Defender like Isao Shinomiya greatly improves her consistency and lets her maintain peak damage output throughout the fight.
