Kota Tachibana [First Division’s Feral Force] is an Ice-element, Shot-type Defender built to absorb pressure and protect his team through durability and control. He can draw enemy aggression while weakening opponents and sustaining himself in prolonged fights. Sounds good… but not so much.
When Kota’s HP is 50% or higher, he becomes more likely to be targeted by enemies, effectively functioning as a soft Taunt that keeps damage away from more fragile allies. At A1, he gains a self-healing effect, further reinforcing his ability to stay above that HP threshold.
His Combat Skill reduces enemy ATK, directly lowering incoming damage for the entire party. In addition, his Ultimate has a chance to inflict Freeze, delaying enemy actions and disrupting their tempo. This combination of damage mitigation and crowd control allows Kota to contribute defensively beyond simply soaking hits.
Kota’s survivability is further enhanced by his Shield generation mechanic. When he uses a Normal Attack against a debuffed or status-affected Kaiju, he grants himself a Shield, enabling him to continuously reinforce his defenses in debuff-heavy teams. At A2, the duration of this Shield is extended, significantly improving his staying power and making A2 a strong early investment breakpoint.
Kota Tachibana [First Division’s Feral Force] is a medium Defender. While not the flashiest option, he performs reliably in sustained encounters and becomes notably more durable with early Ascension investment.
